Diverse Customer Shoutout: Vans & Adidas : A Step in the Right Direction!

VANS is making shoes made from recycled materials. This thrust towards using recycling material comes after a growing demand for global brands to reduce their environmental impact on the planet. Earlier this year, Adidas announced recycling plastic beach waste into shoes and more recently unveiled running shoes that never have to be thrown away, made to be remade(not available to the public until 2021). However, Vans is also making sustainable packaging and bringing in the ecological element into their supply chain, from procurement to production much like Adidas. It would be phenomenal if these global brands could encourage recycling, upcycling, and repurposing shoes at their stores pushing the envelope towards a more circular economy.
