Today is a day set aside by the United Nations as an opportunity for us to deepen our understanding of the values of cultural diversity by exploring, discovering enriching cultural experiences, and living together in harmony. Without harping on the well-intended rhetoric on cultural diversity which is about subtle embracing and championing cultural nuances, we also need to celebrate the fact how much of a powerful impact we can have in the world when we come together. To describe how embracing cultural diversity benefits think about how:

NAMASTE 🙏, a customary Hindu greeting has become the default and the safest greeting gesture around the globe.

Adopting and adapting to Cultural diversity is very beneficial for all humanity where there is no hegemony of one over the other. We believe in the power of education and admire schools where children are taught tolerance, acceptance, respect, and cultural empathy. The same applies to other places, including organizations that promote culture of learning and inclusion. We can make the world a better place by educating each other, exercising conscious curiosity, and engaging in meaningful conversations to nurture culturally inclusive and diverse workplaces as well as, help under-represented communities become fully integrated and celebrated by the essential role of intercultural dialogue for achieving peace and sustainable development in our highly fragmented world.

Our world stands more divided today as three-quarters of the world's major conflicts have a cultural dimension. So, World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development is a great day to promote cultural intelligence and awareness and highlight the significance of its diversity as an agent of inclusion and positive change plus also reminds us that we must each do our part to push the narrative of Culture Sharing and Together Caring and lead the development during and after the COVID-19 pandemic to deepen our understanding of the value of cultural diversity that is collectively facing one of the biggest challenges for humanity.
