Diverse Customer : Reading List : The Remix: How to Lead and Succeed in the Multigenerational Workplace

Lindsey Pollak, the author brilliantly covers facets of remixing with multi-generational groups in her book: The Remix: How to Lead and Succeed in the Multigenerational Workplace. If you are a diverse organization, like most organizations are today then this book can come across as a handy roadmap and guide to hiring more people across multiple generations and traversing through the shifting and ever-evolving demographics of the workforces that drive modern organizations.

Stereotypes plague every generation but Lindsey says, “one size fits none”. The fact is our workforce is more diverse than ever, and these intergenerational differences can provide huge opportunities to leaders who see diversity as the opportunity it is and can be. The book is packed with actionable tips and smart ideas on how to remix the old structures (that were largely built for babyboomers ) to better accommodate and unleash the potential of the millennials — the first group since the baby boomers to occupy such a disproportionate portion of the workforce and kind of citing that multigenerational teams tend to be more productive.
